This elephant road trip movie follows in the tradition of enduring
animal classics like War Horse, The Black
Stallion, Never Cry Wolf, Old Yeller, and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. Friendless Jaidee, a teenaged
orphan in Thailand, is the only one who seems to understand an unruly elephant,
Jamnong, who has no interest in pulling logs
for her owner, Mokkhavesa. Jaidee and Jamnong form a close bond, and Jaidee realizes that this elephant has an
amazing ability to paint remarkable works of art. He rescues Jamnong from logging and they set out on an
adventure across Thailand to find a place where she can be free; but Mokkhavesa is determined that no elephant of
his will become an artist, and he chases them across the country. Will Jaidee take Jamnong to safety? Will she become a painter? And will Jaidee learn the truth about his own
identity?
